With the end of a school year, one would think that things are to begin slowing down. Only the opposite has been true for us lately. Last weekend, we were able to go to Louisville for a few days were Julie had a couple of job interviews and we looked at some apartments. The job interviews went very well and Julie was offered a job at a pediatric outpatient rehabilitation center. The decision is yet to come…
Also while in Louisville, we got spend quite a bit of time with our good friend Marshall. Hanging out with him during the time we did makes us extremely grateful that we will already have such a close friend when we go to an unfamiliar place.
While coming back from Louisville, Julie received a call from a hospital in Louisville asking whether or not she was in town for an interview. Unfortunately, we weren’t, so she had a phone interview last week. The phone interview went well and she is flying out to Louisville on Tuesday morning, interviewing and then flying back on Tuesday night.
It doesn’t stop there for her. On Thursday she begins her internship at North Memorial Hospital in the cities. She is very excited to begin working with patients in a hospital setting. However, the downside to this is that she has to live in the cities during the week and come home on the weekends.
Things are just beginning to become busy for Mike at St. Clair School. Monday night is his last high school choir concert, which is to be followed by three weeks jammed packed with an awards banquet, elementary concert, junior high concert, kindergarten graduation and high school graduation. Amongst all of this, Mike is also working on finding a job for the summer and finding scholarships for the fall.
